I'm an artist and illustrator, also a lone parent.

My work explores concepts of Jean Baudrillard's Simulacra and Simulations, to expose constructed realities and to interrogate them, but also to question how some people exist within the imaginary, whether that reality is the truth, or a fiction, or whether the truth can be recreated. I have in my life met people for whom reality and the truth are a figment of their imagination, for instance, my ex husband. I can only see the fictions created by liars from the perspective of the real. I also explore where the imaginary is used to expose the truth. For my Fine Art Degree Show "The Unreal God And Aspects Of His Non-Existent Universe", this was explored within the context of re-appropriated imagery from A-ha's iconic Take On Me music video. 

There is also a strong doll theme that runs throughout my practice.

As an illustrator, I create doll characters and storyboards for animation, illustrations for editorial, advertising, music industry and print, and also Take One Me themed portraits.
