NB: The University will also be hosting 3 additional placements: for a Creative Writer, a Dramatist and a Media Artist

Facilities:

'AA2A Plus Collections': all the AA2A placements will have the opportunity to access the collections of the University's cultural partners at Wolverhampton Art Gallery and City Archives, to use as source material.  

 

For Visual artists and Designer makers: access to facilities in printmaking, wood, metal, foundry, wood and stone carving, hot glass, ceramics, interior textiles, fashion and textiles, digital media, video, photography, illustration, graphic design, graphic arts, painting

 

For Dramatists: access to The Performance Hub (a specialist open theatre and performance space at Walsall) and links to the Arena Theatre (City Campus) as well as access to the Lending Library, Lecture programmes and the University community

 

For Media Artists: access to Media suites, Video and Film production facilities and links to the University's cultural partners at the Light House Media Centre

 

For Creative Writers:  access to the Lending Library, Lecture programmes and the University community. Applicants may wish to host readings and interventions with the written and spoken word as part of the University Library programme  

 

  The University is providing AA2A's Enhanced Employability support package for students 

  • 'Making it out there' digital information pack listing support organisations
  • Presentation promoting Self-employment as a career option
  • 'Engage' database of past AA2A artists prepared to host students visits
