The AA2A programme will enable me to continue to develop the links in my work between participation and practice. I recently completed an MA in Art Practice and a research project on the Process of Drawing. It involved both personal research and a participative project where 15 students and artists took part in a daily drawing task combined with a mindfulness exercise. This opportunity would enable me to develop the work I have been doing engaging with other learners and students. I think it would be an interesting challenge to work in a different institution and have the opportunity to explain my work to people who have not worked with me previously. This would enable me to develop my presentation skills and collaborative practice. Having a new space to work would be an opportunity to create new systems for practice and make new drawings and books which could be exhibited at the end of the programme.
I would continue to develop my knowledge and understanding of how drawing can help us learn and crucially learn about how we learn.
I would like to offer to collaborate with a small group of students to do a daily drawing practice and document and evaluate the process with them and/ or a presentation on the work I am doing.
