About me:

Beth Bramich is an artist and curator who is currently developing The Wasteland Sculpture Park as a visiting artist at Coventry University. She works alongside Rebecca Beinart, David Bell, Julain Hughes and Mathew Trivett, as part of the research collective Wasteland Twinning Nottingham who have devised a long-term program of research, experimentation and public events focused on The Island, an inner-city wasteland. www.bethbramich.com

The Wasteland Sculpture Park proposes a repurposing of wastelands within the Wasteland Twinning Network* and beyond as common ground where artworks could be re-sited in the public realm. This publication is an open invitation to interested parties for submissions to The Wasteland Sculpture Park, a space which exists outside borders and without restriction, where sculpture is an open-ended catch-all for physical intervention. Conceived and designed by Beth Bramich.

* Wasteland Twinning is an international network of artists who are developing creative research practices to explore the role of wastelands in contemporary cityscapes, generating collaborative relationships between groups in different cities. The project is inspired by the city-twinning model, but questions the more obvious cultural assets celebrated through traditional twinning relationships. www.wasteland-twinning.net

Other activity: Beth has been Curator of In Production, a regular feature of Nottingham Contemporary's public programme since 2010. In Production is a platform for discussion and debate about the artwork of new and emerging artists working in video, with an emphasis on critical feedback. In early 2012 regional editions of In Production were co-curated by Beth and new gallery partners Outpost, Norwich and David Dale Gallery, Glasgow.

Beth has contributed articles to Nottingham Visual Arts (2010-12), a-n Magazine (2010) and this is tomorrow (2012). Based in Birmingham, she is Distribution Assistant at Eastside Projects, a member of Extra Special People and an associate studio member at One Thoresby Street, Nottingham.
