Shift

Part of Danger, the four-part series of studio and environmental installations exploring the precarious resilience I see in how humans relate to physical environments and to each other around the globe, Shift considers China, and human traces imprinted on the land.

For this I have made hollow clay bouders from clay, and at Anglia am fashioning wooden blades, evoking the stone age chinese jade ceremonial blades.

Working in the 3-d studio, I'm cutting the hardwood on the jigsaw, and shaping by using a hand plane.
