The 'Both Sides of the Bridge' Project is a photographic social documentary project documenting the communities of West Bank in Widnes, and Dukesfield in Runcorn. Both locations are situated on the banks of the river Mersey and in the shadow of the old Widnes/ Runcorn bridge. The socioeconomic circumstances of both communities born in the wake of industrial revolution.
Many of the residents, and their extended families, have lived in the area for generations. The aim of the project is to create a visual and historic record of both locations, and to celebrate each communities unique sense of identity.

The project was scheduled to be exhibited in the gallery of the Brindley Theatre, Runcorn, between September and October 2021. Lockdown restrictions have meant that this exhibition will now postponed until a unknown date in 2022/23.
