I have two different sets from the recent 'through the glass darkly shoot'.
I like the abstraction of these blurred clips which seem to extract the 'surge, hesitate, pause and creep' of the traffic flow that originally attracted me to the scene. However, they are irritatingly impressionistic: there is nowhere for the eye to rest.
The other set has an intriguing contrast between the static and dynamic. The form of the glass creates definite set circles around which the always changing lights flow. Annoyingly the inner surface of the glass is too obviously present and cannot be ignored.
I will try combing these clips; layering them together hopefully having the best qualities of both and eliminating the irritations.
