My work in sculpture and installation explores the perception of the viewer through highly charged physical environments involving sound, light and other resonant materials. I am currently exploring the acoustics of material by creating large ruched panels in felt and handmade paper that interact with sound and silence, strongly affecting the perception and body of the viewer.  I also make projection works that question traditional expectations of the image or screen and transform different sites and contexts, from forests to cathedrals and contemporary architecture.

Plymouth University has been an incredibly supportive and stimulating environment. I have developed my work in digital video, sound, and sculpture and attended fantastic lectures. Together with the other AA2A artists at the Uni I have taken part in group shows and given talks to students.  This has been a very productive few months for me - thank you to all who have been involved.
