Project summary:

Responding to the sensory experience of architecture, I explore hidden, forgotten or reimagined aspects through drawing.

Recent enquiry has been focused on architectural materials, questioning what the sensory experiences of drawing and architecture may reveal about a place. Working employs a repetitive drawing approach through the duality of touch in both reception and expression.

The AA2A programme provides a valuable period of research in which to develop my practice and the opportunity to focus my work with access to facilities in a university setting that enable testing and refinement of ideas.

I intend to produce and present a new body of work by the end of the residency.
