Project summary:

After graduating from Loughborough University in 2013 in Fine Art, I have exhibited in group shows, featured in various online magazines and have maintained my involvement in the arts at various educational establishments and local galleries.

My art practice focuses on the nature of the printed photographic image/object, which is typically seen as a window to reality and a container of memory. It is this metaphor that fuels my art practice when investigating materiality, surface and the aesthetics in photographic imagery and print. This often incorporates appropriated imagery and subject matter of the ephemeral and forgotten. I am interested in experimental printing practices and analogue techniques where I seek to hybridise printing practices.

The AA2A scheme has granted me an excellent opportunity to access specialist facilities so that I can continue to explore experimental techniques that incorporate mixed media, printmaking and photography. Working among others who share the same passion for art as myself will definitely push me to overcome creative boundaries!
