Ceramic sculpture, MDF board, emulsion and vinyl letters 100 x 200 x 60 cm
This work consists of two ceramic sculptures, both vessels, and text in keeping with the site responsive intervention: fre-quen-ta-tion, 2013 by Annamaria Kardos, with which it share its location.
The form on the left is riddled with cracks and fissures, the infirmity of its body visible, whilst the form on the right stoically responds to the need for support – physically and emotionally.
The verb ‘care’ has two senses; caring or worrying about something and ‘taking care’ of things. The word being in juxtaposition with the other non-imperative verbs in the corridor, acknowledging that one must care in order to make decisions or acquire knowledge.
