Photos from performances that took place on April 11th as part of Liquid Land in the Ruskin Gallery, Cambridge.
The piece uses conflicting narrative surrounding the controversial excavation of a bronze age timber circle from the Norfolk coast (Seahenge) in 1999. At the centre of the circle was an upturned tree stump.
A group of 10 people came together just once, the day before the performances to rehearse. They had previously each been sent a different text message with the words they would read, expressing a variety of responses. In the centre of the circle the voices merge and opinion dissolves into rhythmn and sound. The audience move around the outside and can enter the circle when they are handed a listening stick.
