Project summary:

My course has provided me with a solid foundation as a generalist, allowing me to build a skillset for most areas. Currently I am working on a group project requiring a range of effects including particle, pyro and cloth simulation. This has provided me with an insight into each pipeline and I hope to continue expanding my skills over the course of my final year at university.

I am now at the stage of developing my skillset for a more specialised area of post production. My interest is on simulation effects within Houdini primarily  focusing on rigid body dynamics for destruction techniques, I plan on using the next few months to heighten my technical knowledge on this area.

Recently as a personal project I have been creating a sci-fi scene. I have finished modelling the space station with the next step being texturing the model and finally simulating the destruction. Additionally for the space environment I have began researching and testing various methods of rendering planets both in Houdini and Autodesk Maya. This mini project enables me to maintain and expand my skills within other avenues yet also serve as a learning tool for my RBD focus.
