Work created in response to working as an artist mentor with Crisis artists at The Old Fire Station in Oxford. The work was designed to fit where the skirting board would normally be in a narrow space between the bottom of the wall and the floor. I wanted to site my work in this somewhat uncomfortable position to challenge our ideas of where we look, what we see when we really look and the conventional norm for where artists work is displayed.
