From printing press to blockchain

I recently tokenized on the platform SuperRare a new piece of crypto art called Close, a limited-edition digital artwork tracked on the blockchain and that is held in an Ethereum wallet.

The digital piece was developed from a dark-field monotype print I created in the print studios at Wolverhampton University, using their 19th century Columbian Press to print the piece.

Original monotype print and plate the piece was developed from.

To create an animated gif I scanned the print and then made digital adaptations of the image, putting these together to form the different frames of the animation.
