My work is characterised by themes of territory and identity and how one influences the other. I mainly work with video and photography but I also feel excited and invigorated by working with other mediums that I find challenging. I often think that every new idea dictates its own medium.

The AA2A Programme provides an opportunity for me to work with professional video editing in a supported environment and with skilled individuals. My project involves making video work, which explores the repercussions that armed conflicts and forced migration have over different generations. I want to focus on and develop ways to be experimental, yet intellectually coherent when responding to complex subject matter. My project also involves regular visits to the University Library, a unique setting, which hosts a vast array of material relating to cinema and the visual arts. It is the perfect place to attain inspiration and to derive specific influences to infuse my proposed work.

The AA2A Programme provides me with the time and resources to focus on a specific project and offers the opportunity to network and gain valuable technical and intellectual insights.
