Lisa Slominski is an American artist living and working London. Slominski has shown extensively in London, and internationally including the United States and South Africa. She received her BA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2003) and her MFA in Art Practice from Goldsmiths, University of London (2008). Gallery exhibitions in London include Elevator Gallery, Bearspace, The Pigeon Wing, Tenderpixel and Vegas Gallery. In 2011, Slominski also had a solo-exhibition at Dimensions Variable, Miami and participated in Florida’s Fountainhead Residency program. Press includes reviews by Aesthetica Magazine and the Miami New Times, as well as, a featured artist in ‘Beyond Contemporary Art’ from Vivays Publishing. In the spring 2012, Slominski exhibited 2 wallpaper works from her new series ‘Liar, Liar’ which patterns lines from polygraph results of deception researched at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. During her AA2A residency at the School of Creative Arts Lisa will be making work for a solo-show at Salon Vert, London in March 2013, as well as working on other projects. She is also currently on a studio residency in London through the The Florence Trust.
