Project summary:

I am a product designer who focusses on the finer details of design to create luxurious forms and shapes which appeal to a market of users. Emphasising textures, materials and realism is how I like to approach every project to produce designs which are clean and original.

Designs which look to balance two brands or ideas or an amalgamation into one product is what I like to achieve to stretch the boundaries of my work. Creating one off piece or one-off designs add that limited edition feels to my work, this challenge and struggle is what I do to push my work further to better my skills. An interest in the finer things in life are the foundations for my work.

My work always looks to probe questions and problems I design to solve challenges and realise perfection is lots of little things done well. By analysing and evolving a brands image allows the designer to create more complex and thought-provoking designs which are both creative and enjoyable. I try to answer can a product design be beautiful just from a form and shape? Can modern design techniques help the luxury design market? Are luxury designs a cultural influence, psychological or both?

Recently I have dived into a number of projects in which I have designed products aimed a target audience located in the luxury market sphere, including a gentlemanly whisky cabinet, a high-end luxury timepiece and a home product which improves the well-being regarding sleep. Recently, I have extended my explorations to perfume bottles and their magical nature to transport us back to a place in time.

During my time on the AA2A scheme I will continue my work in the luxury product design market and explore the possibilities between form and shapes with regards to beauty and aesthetics.
