Project summary:

In 2020 I was supported by the Arts Council in 2020 to travel to Fremantle WA to spend 8 weeks as an international artist to focus on my work. Being there totally changed my practice from mixed media to creating large scale collage/paintings inspired by neuroscience and creativity. I returned just before the lockdown and have continued to paint, creating an abstract language inspired by brain patterns.

Having access to create my own digital imaging and colour printing on fabric, I can experiment with shape and form to develop ideas much quicker than at present. Creating lots of raw material to use, will create momentum as I want to hone and develop the abstract language I have started to use in my paintings and progress my work and my practice by making a series of large scale abstract pieces that really challenge my ideas and process so the results are dynamic and exciting and can be exhibited as part of the AA2A scheme.

I am really keen to meet the students and discuss ideas.
