Project summary:

I see my residency at York St John, as  a fantastic opportunity for me to work around other creatives and away from my home studio. I will be working towards exhibition deadlines and my own Open Studio work. Supplying galleries with my ceramics, paper vessels and also 2D works.

I am really interested and excited by how working around others, sharing practice may influence the outcomes of my work .
I hooe to also learn a lot from the experience. I will look forward to interesting conversations & sharing knowledge as working from home can be isolating. Maybe there will be tge opportunity for collaborating.

Creative process is so internal and I believe speaking about your process is really important and helpful. To articulate your thoughts and instincts is very skilled so I hope this will help me nurture this.

This is such a refreshing & interesting opportunity for a few months: working around others with access to a kiln sounds fantastic....new outcomes will happen naturally.

A kiln is a great draw for me also as I do not have the set-up at home. "Kiln hopping" space can be stressful with large orders ahead.

I'm looking forward to learning more about loading a kiln, mixing glazes etc.
