Walk to Alison Uttley's birthplace

I’ve a book by Alison Uttley that I loved as a child, my mum would read her fairytales to my sister and I in bed. Recently I reread the tales from this aged, discoloured paperback, marvelling at one in particular ‘The Woodcutter’s Daughter’. It was so familiar, like gazing at my own reflection. Knowing nothing of the author I googled Alison Uttley and discovered she was born just a couple of miles from where I now live.

So here are the beginnings of a project. These pictures were taken yesterday (18.10.18) of my walk to her birthplace near Cromford, Derbyshire.
