My work references philosophy, geometry and belief systems and uses a wide range of materials and techniques that respond to a space, to bring the overlooked to life and through this create artworks that balance delicacy and fragility with form. My current line of inquiry is researching into site considered artworks and interventions that do not oversimplify what defines a place; I aim through a process led approach to develop artworks and installations that evoke a sense of universal connectivity, trying to find underlying patterns and symbols in what seems to be everyday randomness.

Through the AA2A placement at Staffordshire University I aim to produce a body of work that is inspired by journeys around Stoke-on-Trent but is universal in content and could be found in any city anywhere in the world. My project includes collecting small over looked objects, places and imagery from around Stoke-on-Trent and using imagery collected from recent international projects. Complimenting this process I will spend time absorbed in my studio at Airspace Gallery and the art department in Staffordshire University using the facilities to produce a series of light based artworks and installations to be showcased at the final exhibition.
