I aim to create work using Drypoint in the print room. In my painting and print making practice I like to work from photographs and films found while exploring a place. I go through evolving my ideas in different drawing, painting and printing processes until images take hold.

Taking the train from Truro to Plymouth in the dark Winter mornings will awake the beginning of my journey. The quite evening train journey back into Cornwall will provide valuable time to reflect on my days practice. The stories and images in newspapers and magazines abandoned in empty train carriages will feed into my practice.

The unique collection of art and design books and journals at the College Library will provide a key part of my study at Plymouth, a large amount of my practice is spent researching artists works and pictorial events in library collections.

The opportunity to develop my print making skills at Plymouth College of Art and to further my experiences of Plymouth will take my work to new places.
