Project summary:

I would like to explore ideas using printmaking. I normally work in metal, creating linear structures in wire. These support panels of etched or enamelled panels. I am interested in both developing the potential of surfaces for these panels further using print and well as using print to inform development of my linear structures to help these to be pushed to a new level.

Working at the university would enable me access to facilities that would extend my working process, challenging the way in which I am able to consider line in a two dimensional way that could help me to develop my three dimensional work in new unexplored ways.

I would like to create a new exploratory body of work, pushing the boundaries of my current practice. It would be interesting to document this and present the final body of work, this could be in an exhibition or in a less formal way, presenting the work to the students allowing them to see my creative process and discuss this to ensure my approach has been as rigorous as possible.
