Project summary:

I am a multimedia artist; my work encompasses a variety of processes from drawing to film making. I use film/video and still photography as well as pencil on paper to investigate ideas of co-existence between presence and absence, and concepts of temporality.

My works such as "The Biblical the Natural and the Everyday", "Interference Pattern", and "Blackfriars Bridge", investigate the way we measure the constant flow of experiences which are strung together in a continuum of fleeting moments. Some of the elements of these works are entire tidal cycles and places filmed over time, using time-lapse photography, and texts and sound narratives which often jar with the bucolic nature of the images.

My aim throughout the scheme is to develop a body of work based on a screenplay which I have written for a short feature film: the film centers on notions of ‘time and ‘memory’. I wish to deconstruct the script and in so doing, at the same time, develop it through a series of works involving drawings, photographs and short films.
