During this residency I will be working on two different photography projects.

Giving Peace Faces is a long term Photography Portrait project I am hoping to be shooting for in the next 12 months, and produce a Photography book. It focuses on small grassroots projects in Israel providing concrete opportunities for people-to-people dialogue and interaction. I am working on my own on this and it involves a lot of administration and communication, which I am hoping to balance with a second photography project on trees (with trees you don't need an appointment, nor a release form, nor a plane  - at least not necessarily).

I started taking trees 'portraits' a few years back, without consciously trying to start a series. I am taking the opportunity to work at Solent University with extremely knowledgeable technicians and teaching staff for going back to colour printing in the darkroom, at least for part of the series, and possibly using a large format camera.
