I’m a textile artist who mainly work with hand knitting and prints, making abstract sculptures, installations and 2D works. Materiality has great importance in my work. In my creative process, the interaction between concept, technique and material creates the object. My abstract imageries are created through a process of reducing information of images into concise elements and shapes, then reconfiguring them into new images and objects. Using the most basic knitting techniques, my objects are created by layering and piling geometric knits. I see textiles as an external expression of identity, memories and stories, which I refine into minimalistic layered objects.
