Project summary:

My love of print has always been the backbone of my design work. For many years this love was satisfied by creating work for clients and commercially using digital platforms. In the last two years I have returned to creating by hand with both screen printing and paper mache becoming an important part of my work practice. Inspired by interior designers like Charles and Ray Eames , graphic designers like Barney Bubbles and Peter Saville and ceramic designers and illustrators like Susie Cooper and Eric Ravillious, my work explores colour, geometric patterns, my work space and humour, my aim is to create work that is both cool brings a smile to the face. Having completed an MA in ceramics over 25 years ago I am keen to see if I can push my ideas in this direction again. Creating artwork, printing ceramic decals and decorating found shapes is something that I see as a natural progression from what I am doing now with my paper mache and print work. I look forward to seeing where this opportunity takes me and to sharing the experience on this platform.
