Begun research for a series of pieces both drawings and textiles concerned with the layered linear quality of tree branches. This time of the year is magical. Buds are just begining to appear, the skeleton of the tree is still evident and the silhouette is so complex with a variety of lines and spaces. Tree are so important they can support and change our lives.
Collecting references, drawing and referring to other artists work eg Cornelia Parker's 'Bullet Drawing', Fred Williams Pilbara Series, Noel Berowski's ' Offspring 'piece and Basquiat's freedom and energy - all providing inspiration.
