I am keen to experiment with materials associated with industrial processes such a metal, clay, geotextile, and glass cobtrasting them with the tactile fragility of paper and textuile. THe varied materials I use allow me to explore the dialectical relationships between srface and substrate, and industry and the natural environment. For example, in my series of collages using newsprint, enabled me to use a material that had come fom an industrial process, but the cohesiveness in the work is achieved by using newsprint for both inspiration and as a medium. these collages highlight the importance of industry, but also the effects it has on the environment.
