I am concerned with the imperatives of conservation and the associated political issues of the natural environment. Fascinated by detritus and the cyclic nature of transformation and renewal, I work in multiples while carrying on detailed investigations, which reflect on the layered history between the natural and manmade.
The AA2A would enable me to produce containers, books, vessels and boxes that are intrinsic to pieces of contemporary work, but are versatile, adaptable and easily transported for showing in a variety of venues, spaces and situations.This would enable my contemporary practice to be seen by a wider more diverseaudience and in alternative venues. It would allow me to push my practice into new territory and ultimately challenge my ability, presenting a great opportunity to deliver a significant body of work for touring both nationally and Internationally.
