Previous AA2A Artist

Daniel Sean Kelly

Year:
2012-13
Location:
Leicester
Project summary:

During my BA at DMU my practice was based in sculpture, since graduating however I have been working on a series of paintings, largely due to a lack of facilities and a desire to challenge my practice in new ways. I now hope to transfer some of the ideas and motifs which have developed in these paintings back into sculpture, working largely in wood, metal and plastic.

Since graduating I have also been running an artist-led gallery in Leicester called CUSP, which has given me the opportunity to meet other artists and people running similar projects, and inspired me to seek opportunities to exhibit the new body of work which I am hoping to develop.
