Project summary:

In this residency I see myself progressing from my trademark ripped paper style to including other waste/found materials, in a transgression from two dimensional work to more sculptural semi 3-dimensions.

I am excited about investigating melting and moulding both plastics and metals as well as looking into rusting and oxidizing metals in contrast to the permanence of plastics.

Running alongside this I will be looking down the microscope at both the cataclysmic and yet often beautiful appearance of diseases that erode and decay our bodies in a devastatingly formidable nature.

It is this NATURE that will be of primary concern and our response to that medically and my interpretation of this artistically that will form the basis of my work.
