Artform:
John Dewey suggests that an experience is an event that occurs outside the confines of a spectator’s familiarity. Striving to fabricate relationships and challenge the social perceptions and boundaries of participating audiences, I seek to connect with a subject emotionally through the bombardment of the senses. Whilst seeking to harmonise multi-sensory platforms I invite the audience to remove themselves from the familiar and explore exotic environments. It is believed that we have become too complacent and disconnected with the world around us . In hope of altering sensual perceptions, by immersion within the spectacle, is it possible that a new found awareness and appreciation of reality will proceed?
