The architecture is a 1960's brutalist structure of concrete, by the same designers as the Barbican Centre in London. Interplay of light and water features throughout its cloister-like corridors, that were unglazed when it was first built.

Digital Print with hand Lithograph Femfolio features the work of 20 women artists who were influential in the women's art movement of the 1970s in America. It was commissioned in 2007, by the Brodsky Centre at Pennsylvania academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Femolio presents a variety of feminist voices and styles, some contributions reference works made in the 1970s, while others represent the contemporary work of the artist. Femfolio includes Faith Ringgold, Miriam Schapiro, And Carolyee Schneemann artists that I have a particular interest in having studied them alongside Judy Chicago for my second year essay.

This panel represents Dutch painter Judith Leyster (1609 - 1660) much of whose work was incorrectly attributed to the painter Frans Hals.
