I expect to use this opportunity to access the facilities provided by the scheme to develop my creative practice and achieve a body of work that otherwise wouldn't be obtainable without the aid of the workshops and equipment provided. I aim to broaden my practice creating a series of sculptures that combine my interest of materiality and functionality to provide an access point for people to begin questioning their relationships to their surroundings, how they interact with objects and spaces around them and question ideas of inaccessibility and restriction. Leading to new ways of inhabiting space and accessing and owning the shared spaces in which we exist. Using workshops such as the wood work, mould making and printing facilities I aim to create a variety of objects exploring new techniques. This opportunity would enable me to achieve my aim of processing how an object with a dictated purpose can be transformed through its material language and repurposed into a new functioning object with a universal visual language.
