Project summary:

I am a fashion designer that creates designs by breaking the rules, avoiding as much as possible the traditional way of pattern cutting. During my creative procedure, I see the human body as a structure and that helps me develop my creative practice in Fashion garment making. Such explorations involve the tactile nature of selected materials and it is this gathering of creative imagination that illuminates my imagined garment forms in the first instance .

I have always been inspired by the late works of architect Zaha Hadid. This has been a huge influence particularly with how Hadid applies and create forms to shape her buildings. It is from being  inspired by Zaha Hadid which informed my research and developed practice at Masters Level  The  research and work was produced over two years ago and resulted in the  mindset of an architect turned fashion designer. I would  like to work on a similar  theme during my time on the AA2A program and identify further ways to explore the creative approach of the architect within the context of body and form all of which will embody the fragile aspects of fabric and construction .
