Project summary:

My work originates from photographs taken in preparation for the project; various images of childhood, which I hope will evoke memories of those irreplaceable, formative times. I made 4 plates from which I have been able to make a small series of rust prints; approximately 4-5 unique images per plate, and I have also made one painting. I have really appreciated my time at MMU and the opportunities open to me; the facilities have been great, and I found the technical staff so helpful and friendly in each department. The only real disappointment for me is that due to both bereavement and family illness which have followed in close succession, I’ve not been able to fully apply myself to fulfill my original objectives. I had hoped to explore my approach to painting, and indeed, ultimately create a greater, more cohesive body of work…this is just going to take longer than expected.
