Project summary:

One of the projects I have undertaken is the photographic study of a rare and unusual site that contains both extremes of landscape and built structure.

Orford Ness is a 16km long shingle spit. It is a landscape of strange character, a dynamic structure that is constantly changing guided by the forces of nature. The major characteristic of the site is the contrast between the man-made and the natural, the timeless natural processes that have constructed this shingle landform contrasting with the temporary dereliction of the man made structures that exist there.
