Year:
2004-05
Project summary:

The AA2A scheme enabled me to use the University of Central Lancashire's excellent printmaking facilities to develop a series of horse-themed lithographs.

Whilst much of my work since graduation in 2002 has been three dimensional, the drawing process has become increasingly important to my practice, working along side my sculptural activity and integral to it. As a development of this 2D work I was keen to explore the possibilities of printmaking, particularly zinc plate lithography, and I am grateful to the AA2A scheme for providing the facilities and technical support to enable me to do so. My newly acquired printmaking skills will add an extra dimension to my practice.

I now have a solid body of work courtesy of the scheme, to submit for possible inclusion in Obsidian Art's 'The Horse in Art 2005' exhibition in Stoke Mandeville, and The Land Gallery's Ascot exhibition.
