I have been working in the arts industry for the past 20 years in a variety of roles; punk musician, fashion magazine artist-in-residence, filmmaker, photographer and curator amongst others. An opportunity such as AA2A would make it possible for me to dedicate time to my own personal studies and rediscover my work in a vibrant, supportive and challenging environment. Being an artist can often be a solitary job and part of the attraction to the scheme was to once again be part of a creative community and enjoy the discourse and debate that this environment brings.

I employ a variety of media but the themes within my work tend to be fairly consistent, storytelling, everyday surrealism, the supernatural and the secret worlds of suburban girls.

I am eager to experience working in a college environment once more and curious as to what effects and outcomes the adventure will have on new work.
