Project summary:

The intention of the Artists Access to Art Colleges was to place ideas explored in 3d Studio Max into three dimensional sculptures produced in steel. 3D Studio Max Computer programs can have very sophisticated possibilities: production of these ideas would involve a high level of technology, equipment and would be very costly. Transforming ideas into sculpture using basic techniques of welding and fabrication was a very useful process, allowing a new vision and understanding, simplifying ideas to essentials, which are in essence sculptural expressions of the inner psychological and spiritual in material space. Steel emphasis the expressive qualities of the materials, in relation to human values and psychology. The AA2a was very useful for exploring and assessing the possible future of taking these ideas into sculpture further.
