Project summary:

The AA2A residency has been a great opportunity for me to experiment with new techniques and play around with ideas. I have been able to develop my work using silver and create new pieces that have room for growth after my residency.

Having access to facilities such as laser welding, enamelling kilns and casting gave me fresh ideas on how my work could expand. At the same time I continued etching, which plays a big part in my work, using new methods that I find more efficient for me.

Interaction with students and other Artists in Residence was a significant aspect and on the whole I feel I have got a great deal out of my residency. I think it is a brilliant idea as a means for artists to continue their practice and equally useful for the students.
