Previous AA2A Artist

Project summary:

The interactions and opportunities that have arisen through using the AA2A scheme have been useful in being able to refocus my creative energies. Just stepping through the Art school doors made space to play, explore and re-engage. Being able to use professional photographic equipment and working alongside the students and staff has been a most reviving process.

The scheme has allowed me improve skills and submit new film work for future exhibitions.

The work produced during my time on the scheme has considered the relationships between external influences and self-perception. Exploring the relationship between external materials and notions of an internal world that is constantly interacting, responding and re-moulding its self in relation to an ever-changing external world.

What is being shared? What is being seen? What is being understood? What belongs to the viewer and what is it the artist is revealing?

I am currently developing this body of work in order to exhibit a performance and installation work, which will take these themes further.
