Previous AA2A Artist

Project summary:

It was great to be back at my old Art School. Everyone was helpful and the facilities were excellent. Having access to the equipment enabled me to produce my work en masse for an up-coming exhibition. I worked predominately in the textile department, producing small and large pieces on the fabric digital printer. I also used the graphics workshop and printing facilities.

After I had graduated I found it very difficult finding fabric printers that would only print a small amount of fabric. This is why the AA2A scheme worked for me. I needed to print my newly developed work in small amounts and show it in an exhibition, before I printed my pieces in yards and yards. I also enjoyed working in a large space and it enabled me to spread out my work and see where it needed changes.

I would highly recommend this scheme to other working artists as a springboard to new developments.
