Previous AA2A Artist

Ben Gamble

Year:
2005-06
Project summary:

My work is multi-disciplinary in approach, using different methods and materials to create artifacts in both 2D and 3D, applying print-based techniques to other materials. For this particular body of work I have explored the relationship between painting, printmaking and ceramics, working on both large and small scale.

As an artist in residence it was my aim to create pieces of work that not only reflect my own working practice and journey, but also communicate the life of Herefordshire College of Art and Design. I feel that because the college has played a large role in my life as a student and staff member, that it is intrinsically linked to my identity as a creative practitioner, therefore meaning that some work (not displayed on this particular website) was site specific and of an archival nature, involving both staff and students of the institution.
