With a background in ceramics, design, painting and textiles, it is of little wonder that my thirst for practical skills has brought me to the discipline of woodturning.

Through this AA2A scheme, I have been able to advance my woodturning skills. The time set aside on this scheme and working towards a showcase at its culmination, gave me time to experiment, and above all gave me confidence through practice.

Now I have completed the scheme and with renewed impetus, my next project will be to produce crafts objects, which combine both ceramics and wood.
