Project summary:

During the time I have access to the college I am aiming to produce a series of screenprints. These works are a continuation of a body of work I completed earlier this summer at Northern Print Studios in Newcastle. This previous work will provide a good backbone to the project. However, I aim to keep an experimental approach. The first 30% of my time will be used to develop technique and composition on a larger scale.

Newcastle University's printmaking department has the necessary equipment to enable me to produce the large format prints I am aiming to make. I am hoping that my time spent in the dynamic, critical environment of an art department will further contribute to this project and the content of my work. I will also have access to the University library, strengthening my research and practical work.

My ambition for this project is to further my knowledge of printmaking and complete a new series of works, ready to be exhibited by the end of the project. I am aiming to strengthen my relations with the college as a visiting artist and be receptive towards this role should I undertake the scheme.
