Agata Jasinska

Year:
2009-10
Project summary:

My photography is about creating the mood rather than just capturing it. I am very interested in exploring relationships between the forms, and form and its shadow, which are the main subjects of my carefully arranged, well balanced compositions (originally in 3D). Photographically, I like expressing myself in an uncomplicated way mostly in black and white.

During the access period I would like to create a collection of abstract photographs eliciting desired emotions (eg. harmony/ irritation) I would like to achieve this by building up a mood purely through arrangement of forms and lines within rectangular space of photographic frame. While at college, I would hope to broaden my knowledge of printmaking techniques and I believe that the possibility to print large format prints would give my work different dimension.

I think that AA2A Scheme would be an invaluable experience in my artistic development helping me to strech my wings. I trust that being with creative people in art college environment would greatly encrease my creativity, and broaden my horizons by presenting new ways of self-expression.
