Year:
2003-04
Project summary:

The subject matter for my work is taken from the everyday world. I want mundane objects to be elevated to a 'fine art' context, in such a way that the viewer is forced to re-examine their qualities, their visual significance and the unconscious absorption into the human psyche.

I am particularly attracted by the idea of the signature piece, that certain works of art can capture the public's imagination: works becoming inextricably linked with their authors. It is linked to the idea of identity, fame and advertising, all products of the modern world.
